KNOW ALL ABOUT SCUBA DIVING EQUIPMENT

You must keep in mind that choosing the right equipment is crucial for your diving adventure. If the diving gear is not appropriate, it ultimately hampers your experience. Hence, you should always be careful that while trying out the equipment, it fits you perfectly. Furthermore, always heed the instructions of your instructors.

The following equipment is required for scuba diving:

Mask – One of the most significant pieces of your gear, it acts as a window and enables you to witness the underwater world with your own eyes. Hence quality and fit are important criteria while choosing a mask. If you are a spectacle wearer, then you should consult with the diving instructors since there are masks available which are designed to fit prescription lenses.

Snorkel – This specific piece of equipment allows you to breathe until you are ready to submerge on scuba. You need to ensure and be completely assured that this mouthpiece fits you comfortably, so try out several snorkels before selecting the final one.

Fins – It allows you to move in the water with higher efficiency and minimum effort. Make sure that your foot fits into the foot pocket of the fins comfortably without your toes touching.

BCD – BCD is a buoyancy control device, which offers control in the water. In combination with a weight system, it presents you the ability to drift mid-water or float on the surface effortlessly. Additionally, this equipment also holds your tank. While choosing the appropriate BCD, you should prioritise fit and comfort as the selection criteria.

Few of the other equipment includes weight system, regulator, SPG or Submersible Pressure Gauge, dive watch, scuba tank, signalling devices, and more.
